Collaboration as Key to Development
One of the day's important points was the importance of collaboration between different stakeholders. Ola Albrektsson from Agro Örebro underlined the significance of joint initiatives:
– When we bring together farmers, businesses, and energy experts, we create conditions for innovation and sustainable development throughout the region.
The program included presentations from Hasta Gård, who spoke about their operations, as well as expert contributions from NEPAB and Varbergs Energi on battery storage and various energy services. H2Solo presented the possibilities of hydrogen as energy storage, and representatives from grid companies discussed regulations and future conditions. In addition, information was provided on investment grants and financial opportunities for stakeholders wishing to invest in smart energy storage from the County Administrative Board of Västmanland County.
The seminar focused on how smart energy solutions can contribute to more sustainable and robust energy systems, while also providing participants with the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas.
Niklas Bergman, project manager for Agro Västmanland, summarized the day:
– It's inspiring to see so many stakeholders engaged in future energy solutions. Energy independence is no longer just a vision – with the right technology and investments, island mode operation can become a possibility for more.
Development Group Meeting 4 – Hydrogen & Solar Cells
The fourth meeting of the Hydrogen Development Group and the Alternative Solar Cell Solutions Development Group was held on September 30, 2025, at Hasta Gård in Götlunda.
The focus was on energy storage and island mode operation – how farms and businesses can become more self-sufficient through smart solutions such as battery storage, hydrogen, and solar energy.
